O
TIVOLY AVENUE PROJECT
Baltimore City has allocated $5.6 Million for acquisition, relocation and demolition of the 2700 block of Tivoly Avenue in preparation for new housing project.
NEW CLIFTON PARK RECREATION CENTER
As part of the phase one implementation of the Clifton Park Master Plan the State of Maryland provided bond funding to construct a new recreation center adjacent to the Clifton Park Pool. This facility, named after CHM's own Rita Church, now provides resources and services to CHM and the neighboring park communities. Ground breaking and construction for Phase II of the new gymnasium, featuring a great public arts display commenced in November of 2014. Construction will be complete by the fall of 2015.
COLDSTREAM PARK IMPROVEMENTS
Local and State government (Project Open Space) invested in redesign, construction and improvements to Coldstream Park and Recreation Center. This improved accessibility, park amenities, public safety and greenery and added a new playground to Coldstream Park Elementary.
LAKE MONTEBELLO IMPROVEMENTS
Improvements to infrastructure, greenery and amenities at Lake Montebello created one of Baltimore's best destinations. A new Disc Golf Course was installed.
REAL FOOD FARM at CLIFTON PARK
Real Food Farm, an initiative sponsored by Civic Works, grows fresh produce in Clifton Park. Produce is sold at farmer's markets on designated days at the farm. This initiative has brought more visitors and volunteers to the area.
HERRING RUN MASTER PLAN
This plan conserves the natural tranquility of the park while making improvements to the ball fields, bike and strolling path, greenery and stream access.
ABBOTSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Abbottston Elementary School #50 is located at the corner of Loch Raven Boulevard and Gorsuch Avenue in the northern section of Baltimore City. Abbottston Elementary School staff's mission, in concert with students, families, and the community, is to prepare all students to be responsible citizens and afford them the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to make informed decisions that lead to success in the next level of their educational endeavors and their lives. Abbottston is an Arts Every Day school and receives funding for arts integration programs for students and staff. Abbottston students enjoy Music, Technology and Physical Education classes, arts integration in the classroom, Arts Every Day residencies and assemblies, Reading Rampage, a fresh fruit and vegetable program, access to HOPE counseling, community partnerships, and a variety of after-school activities such as soccer, Chess, F.L.A.G.S., and more. With small classes and a strong community, it is easy to see why Abbottston Elementary School is a public elementary school with a private school feel

Monarch Academy schools aim to educate Maryland students to be self-motivated, creative, critical thinkers and life-long learners who are productive contributors to the global community in the 21st century. At Monarch Academy, children are encouraged to think critically; question; reflect; and participate in a rigorous, highly interactive instructional program that integrates arts and technology across the curriculum.
THE STADIUM SCHOOL
The Stadium School began in 1994. It is the first public school designed and operated in collaboration with teachers and parents. Currently TSS serves approximately 280 students and serves grades six through eight. The school began as an experiment, when teachers and parents petitioned the Baltimore City Board of Commissioners requesting an opportunity to create a new community school with the autonomy to write its own curriculum and to establish its own governance model. In exchange, the school would be required to meet or exceed both city and state standards.
CITY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
Baltimore City College has a long tradition of being one of the most outstanding academic institutions in America. The traditions established at City College and the accomplishments received over the years, have been the result of students who have taken the responsibility for learning and serving our community very seriously. They have set high academic and personal standards that we must maintain in order to keep City College among the top ranked academic institutions in America.
MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY
For over 140 years, Morgan State University has been an important part of the higher education system in Baltimore City, the State of Maryland, and the nation. Throughout its history, Morgan has served the community with distinction while meeting the educational needs of an increasingly diverse society. Its designation as Maryland's Public Urban University assures that Morgan will continue to play a prominent role in Maryland's education future.
HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS INCORPORATED (HNI)
HNI has awarded over one hundred thousand dollars in capital improvement and grant funding to CHM. These projects include: Infrastructure lighting improvements at the Martin Luther Statue, construction and installation of two disc golf course (Lake Montebello and the other at Lake Montebello Elementary School) a host of neighborhood improvement projects, community marketing events, promotional materials and low interest loans for home purchase and rehab.
HARFORD ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE & BEAUTIFICATION
The City of Baltimore has committed capital funding to improve the infrastructure, appearance, streetscape and safety of Harford Road from 25th Street to just north of Erdman Avenue in CHM.
CLIFTON PARK MASTER PLAN
This community driven process redesigned the layout, roads and amenities of the park and created user friendly pavilions and a more pedestrian friendly layout. Already complete or in progress: Improved Park Lighting, Rita Church Community Center, Clifton Mansion Restoration and Lake Clifton Campus Project Planning.
CLIFTON PARK & HARFORD ROAD PEDESTRIAN LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS
The Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks installed new "acorn" styled pedestrian lighting in the park and along Harford Road, improving area aesthetics and extending the park into the community.
